The symbolism of fishes is vast and deep, just like their environment. An animal purely of water, they cannot survive outwith a watery world.

In Chinese Five Element Theory, water is the element of winter time.

Water can have very extreme differences - from a super stormy forceful dangerous sea to a hot safe calm bathtub. 

Like the element of water, the emotion associated with it can also swing wildly in opposite directions. This element being Fear, which determines our will and motivation, natural flow and passion.

If we are out of balance here we can feel this fear as a worry for shit things that haven’t already happened, or an over cautiousness for action.

 

We can help support and balance this energy by keeping warm, enjoying warm soups and drinks, resting and slowing down and enjoying some quiet time, keeping hydrated… and avoiding negative mass media!

Also just being near or in water is good.. seeing a stream flowing, smelling sea air, or even a quick dip or cold shower will help balance this energy.

Or even!!!… simply having a wee sweet painted fishy character on your wall will help!
